PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing and agreeing on contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning, etc.
Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds, and security.
Ensuring that basic facilities (school buildings) and amenities such as water, electricity, and generators are well-maintained.
Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Allocating and managing space between buildings.
Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
Advising Management on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
Drafting reports and making written recommendations.
Oversee the function of Transportation as well.
Any other work assigned by the DFO and HOS
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Good analytical/critical thinking
Relevant professional qualification will be an advantage
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration or related field.
Five years of related experience required.
