Job Description of Service Advisor
The Service Advisor should act as a team leader with overall responsibility of managing the group.
He should use his skills and personality to manage motivation levels.
He is responsible for taking on the optimum workload for the group.
He will also be responsible for allocating the work among various. mechanics in his group.
Together with the floor supervisor, he is jointly responsible for the overall progress of the work on the car.
He would be deciding upon the schedule of various activities to be done on the vehicle, for example washing, body work, electrical work, etc.
He has to ensure that all the jobs are completed, and done well.
He is responsible for closing the job-cards after final inspection and test drive for the group vehicles.
He also has to check the quality of washing and cleaning of the car when he closes the job card.
As a Service Advisor, he is also required to interact with the customer while the car is being serviced.
