Position Summary
The responsibilities of the Engineer include but is not limited to: Specifying and designing electrical systems, instrumentation and control requirements for oil and gas processing facilities, programming and testing PLC and HMI of different brands.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- PLC/HMI programming
- Develop the Process Mimics & GUI according to P&I Drawings.
- Generation of Static Graphics.
- Generation of Dynamic Graphics
- Conduct Internal Integrated Testing.
- Interface with Third Party Systems.
- Knowledge of Hardware Configurations
- Panel Design. Review customer specifications, design and review I&E wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge in IEC codes.
- PLC/HMI System Test. Perform Factory Acceptance Test in our systems with or without customer.
- Technical Support to different departments. Support to Applications/Sales and Service department.
Job Specifications ( D – Desired , E – Essential , P – Preferred)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Instrumentation discipline or equivalent experience. (D,E,P)
- Will consider Diploma holders with relevant experience (D,P)
- 3 to 5 yrs. experience in design of various control systems ( D,E,P)
- 3 to 5 yrs. experience in PLC/HMI programming on AB. Other PLC/HMI brands like GE, Schneider Group (Modicon and Telemechanique) and Siemens is a plus. Intellution and Wonderware experience also a plus. ( D,E,P)
- Knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, PLC panels, VFD’s, electrical switchgear and motors. (D)
- Knowledge in IEC codes. (D)
- Knowledge in the use of Computer-Aided Engineering Software (D)
- Good analytical, engineering problem solving skills. (D,E,P)
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. ( D,E,P)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office application software. ( D,E,P)
- Field commissioning and startup experience is a plus. (D)
- Knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical is a plus. (D)
- Knowledge on ATEX Regulations is highly desirable
